Name:               Michelle Rich Goode
Company:        Rich Commercial Realty
Title:                 Principal/President

What is your TCREW Story?  (i.e. When did you join TCREW and in what ways have you been active--committees, chair positions, etc) I joined TCREW just after it was chartered in 1996-97.  I have served on many committees and chaired several including Sponsorship, Membership, and Champion Awards.  I served as President of TCREW in 2001.

What is your most significant TCREW connection?   How has your TCREW membership been impactful in your own personal growth and development? Several members attribute my recruitment efforts to their membership and leadership development in TCREW.  I am proud of those who I recruited who have become President of this ever-growing organization!  The friendships I have made both locally and nationally have been my most significant TCREW connection.  Those friendships have turned into mutually beneficial opportunities for business and financial reward.  Through networking with others, I have learned so much about strengths and talents through collaboration which has helped help us all grow to be stronger in how we serve this industry!

How do you see TCREW impacting the Triangle?  As a fabulous networking organization for women and a clear path to expanding one’s leadership opportunities at the local or national level, if desired.

How can we, as women in the commercial real estate industry, best make an impact in mentoring the next generation of women in CRE? I believe it is our greatest imperative and gift.  Mentoring is a gift we all must share with the next generation.  It can be a small as encouraging someone to see herself as a leader while having coffee or more involved in directly working with someone on her leadership path as a coach, when requested.

What is one goal you would like to achieve through TCREW?  As I transition to retirement, I have thought of writing a book on building a successful network.  I also hope to continue to mentor women.

What is the best leadership advice you have been given or can give to others? Never give up on a goal…keep trying and stay focused daily to do as much as you can to make success happen, then let it go as it will happen when the time is right!
