Deb Boucher, Cushman & Wakefield

Deb Boucher is a Vice Chair at Cushman & Wakefield with over two decades of commercial real estate experience. Since 2006, Deb has focused on building a Science & Tech focused brokerage practice and works with innovative companies of all sizes and maturity levels navigate the challenging world of highly improved real estate, technical uses and complex deal structures. Aside from serving her clients, she derives particular joy in helping other colleagues in the CRE industry scale their business and sharpen their specialization.

Jane Doggett, CCIM, Longfellow Real Estate Partners

As the Senior Director of Leasing for Longfellow, Jane oversees the leasing activity for Longfellow’s existing and expanding NC Life Science Commercial Real Estate Portfolio. Prior to joining Longfellow, Jane was the Director of Leasing for Highwoods Properties where she led cross functional teams in executing 690 lease transactions. Most notably, she represented Highwoods in the build-to-suit lease transaction with MetLife for the development of a 650,000 square foot campus in Cary. Jane is an active leader in our community and currently chairs the WakeMed Hospital Foundation Board.

Marlene Spritzer, SIOR, CCIM, Lee & Associates

Marlene is a commercial real estate expert specializing in representing corporate end-users, both tenants and owner-occupants. She focuses her practice on life science, technology, and health care companies as well as other corporate occupiers of lab, office, industrial and flex facilities. She has over 25 years of CRE transactional experience and has a unique background as an attorney with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. She has also achieved the SIOR and CCIM designations enabling her to bring a strong knowledge base to her clients.

 

Moderator: Katie Stember, PhD, NCBiotech

Dr. Katie Stember joined the Life Science Economic Development team at NCBiotech in 2018. She leads efforts to create, manage, and measure programs leveraging North Carolina’s technology-based assets to attract and retain life science jobs and investments. Her efforts have contributed to the announcement of more than 15,000 new jobs and $10B new life sciences investment in NC. Additionally, Katie supports workforce development efforts designed to engage underserved populations with the life sciences industry in the state. She played an instrumental role in the recently funded Accelerate NC-Life Sciences Manufacturing EDA Build Back Better Regional Challenge proposal, which will bring $25M in funding to expand, connect, and promote life sciences manufacturing training and career opportunities for more North Carolinians.
