Meet the Member – Christina Coffey

Christina Coffey, Vice President Retail Services, Lee & Associates

What was your first job? Janitor at my dad’s CPA firm

What’s a trip that changed you, and why? In 2012, I took ten days off and went to Greece with fellow TCREW member, Kaler Walker.  At the time, I’d been working full time for 13 years and hadn’t taken time off from work longer than a few days at a time.  The trip (a) gave me the travel bug and (b) taught me that things at work would survive while I was gone so I need to take time for myself to recharge and get away.

What’s your go-to karaoke song? Don’t Stop Believing by Journey. (Last time I sang it in Vegas, I got reprimanded for dropping the mic when I was done. 😊)

What behavior or personality do you most attribute your success to, and why? My interpersonal communication skills, especially listening.  A lot of people feel that they need to dominate the conversation.  I listen and absorb what people are saying.  People will tell you a lot if you give them a chance.

How do you prefer to start your day? Exercising

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? News Anchor

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? I hiked the Grand Canyon in one day when I was 16.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from? Be Yourself. An Original is Better than a Copy. My dad gave this to me on a small, decorative sign when I was little and it’s stuck with me ever since.
